We practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort.   • Clifford S. Walzer, DMD

    Oral Surgeon

    His special interests have centered around the treatment of patients with dental implants, the surgical correction of jaw and facial growth abnormalities, pathology, reconstructive bone grafting and the removal of wisdom teeth. He and Dr. Sullivan founded the Chesapeake Dental Implant Study Club in 1992 which sponsors continuing education seminars for the professional community. Volunteerism has always been a part of Dr. Walzer’s life. Over the years he has volunteered his surgical skills to help those in need on missions to Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Panama. Locally he has also donated his time to treat patients at the Stanton Center Dental Outreach Clinic.

  • Cornelius J. Sullivan, DMD

    Oral Surgeon

    Dr. Sullivan was appointed as an assistant Professor at the University of Maryland, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. At the University of Maryland, he served as the Director of Residency Training in surgical placement of Dental Implants from 1994-2014. He and Dr. Walzer founded the Chesapeake Dental Implant Study Club, which sponsors continuing educational seminars for the professional community. He is past president of the Anne Arundel County Dental Society. From 1996-2007, Dr. Sullivan served as Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Medicine at Anne Arundel Medical Center and is very proud of being part of the transition team to the number one-rated hospital in Maryland and its beautiful state-of-the-art facility. In 2017, he was appointed as a foundation Board member at Luminis Health.

  • Borek L. Hlousek, DMD, MD

    Oral Surgeon

    Dr. Hlousek joined doctors Walzer and Sullivan in 1999 and became board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2001. He is a member of many professional organizations and he especially enjoys treatment with dental implants, bone-grafting procedures, utilizing computer-assisted technology, corrective surgery of jaw deformities and removal of wisdom teeth. He holds privileges and is proud to be a staff member of Anne Arundel Medical Center where he is currently serving as a Chief of service of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Medicine. He also served as president of the Anne Arundel County Dental Society for 2008 and 2009 – a county branch of the American Dental Association. He is one of The Dean’s Faculty at The University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore, where his main focus is assisting with post-graduate training of residents in oral surgery in the field of surgical placement of dental implants.

  • Kurt C. Jones, DDS

    Oral Surgeon

    He has a special interest in implant dentistry, advanced bone grafting techniques, pathology and trauma. Dr. Jones also volunteers at the Stanton Center Dental Outreach Clinic, which provides free dental and medical services to Anne Arundel’s County’s under-served community. When Dr. Jones is not working, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and two children.

  • Christopher B. Chambers, DDS

    Oral Surgeon

    Dr. Chambers joined Drs. Walzer, Sullivan, Hlousek, and Jones in 2015. He became certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2017 and is a member of many professional organizations, including: the Anne Arundel Dental Society, the Maryland State Dental Association, and the Maryland Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Since moving to the Annapolis area, he’s earned his privileges at Anne Arundel Medical Center. When Dr. Chambers isn’t working, he enjoys spending time at his home on the Eastern Shore with his wife, Leslie, his son, Everett, his daughter, Claire, and their dog, Archer. His other hobbies include snow skiing, hiking, boating, kayaking, hunting, and fishing. He feels privileged to serve the great people of Maryland and to call Drs. Walzer, Sullivan, Hlousek, Jones and Kufta professional partners.

  • Kenneth M. Kufta, DMD, MD

    Oral Surgeon

    Dr. Kufta has particular interests in dental implant surgery, orthognathic surgery, wisdom tooth removal, oral pathology, trauma, and advanced bone grafting and maxillofacial reconstruction. Additional interests include the incorporation of virtual surgical planning to provide predictable, successful outcomes for patients seeking jaw and facial reconstruction. With previous leadership experiences in community outreach, he is also excited to become active in the community to help provide oral surgical care for the under-served in Annapolis. In his spare time, Dr. Kufta enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Shannon, daughter, Kennedy, son, Lane, and their golden retriever, Shea. His hobbies include golfing, playing guitar, and spending time outdoors. He is very grateful to have Drs. Walzer, Sullivan, Hlousek, Jones and Chambers as professional partners, and he feels privileged to focus on providing safe, timely, effective care to his patients.
